Trail Day: SUNDAY September 22nd, 2024 - 10a to 2pm

Come help make Eva Bandman a great place to ride a bike and race cyclocross!

• Goal: clear out undergrowth!

• Ben Wilson will be running point that day to help organize. Find Ben and he'll point you in the right direction!

• We've carved Eva into 4 areas, all which need help. We'll need a handful of "area leaders" to guide the work in the four areas I've carved out. So sign up to be a leader!

• For this one, we don't need big machinery, but the tools on the signup list would be very helpful. 

We have a long list, so there will be something for everyone - and all abilities and skills - to work on.

OVERALL

1. Cut back vegetation from trails.

2. Remove trail hazards (logs, large rocks, etc).

3. Remove undergrowth from trails for race visibility

4. Pick up trash.

AREA 1 - Field / Sand Pit / Railroad Tie Stairs

1. Remove trail hazards / sticks in field lane

2. Fill that one pothole everyone knows about in the field lane

3. Fill in the big potholes after the Railroad Tie Stairs

4. Cut back vegetation around the sand pit / trail entrance

AREA 2 - Green Monster / Pits

1. Remove undergrowth from "Green Monster" flyover to allow race passage

2. Fill in truck ruts on the doubletrack

3. Mow areas for the pit (a double-sided pit is minimum 47' wide)

AREA 3 - Creekside Trails / Run Ups

1. Fill in the washed out, rooted ditch

2. Clean up the Rocky Road Run-up (make it rideable)

3. Cut back vegetation on all Run-Ups to 3 meter width

4. Re-cut the "MIRALDA" off camber run up (muddy run-up that only one person rode last year)

AREA 4 - Limestone Steps + Hillside

1. Cut back vegetation along entire hillside to allow viewing of race course

2. Cut a long off-camber section

3. "Round out" the bottom of the limestone steps w/ fill dirt

4. Cut and clear paths between trails near steps / ride downs to allow for new trail options
